Magic Dragon is a steel built, half size Clyde Puffer replica built in 1997 by John Schofield. Powered by a new Mitsubishi 33 HP four cyliner in-board diesel engine she can accommodate two people in the berth, has inboard shower and plumbed in toiler facilities and a galley/day cabin. An iconic boat her story is available via You Tube titles The Maiden Voyge of Magic Dragon which shows her final days of construction, transportation to the River Thames and her fist voyages on the river. At that time she was a steam powered vessel however this has been recently replaced with a new Mitsibushi 4 cylinder 33HP diesel engine which is currently on circa 100 hours.
The vessels hull is manufactured in 5mm quality British Steel the superstructure 3mm Steel Plate
