This vintage Seabat has only had one owner from new and was purchased in 1964 and has been used less than a dozen times. Since then it has moved house a few times and now lives on the West Coast of Scotland - within sight of water but never actually reaching it!
This boat can be sailed sitting down or standing up by a solo sailor, although it is possible to sail it with two people on board. It can also be used as a paddle board (after removing the slot-in mast & sail and obtaining a paddle).
It can be carried by one person, and can be stored vertically with a very small footprint. Dimensions as follows:
Length: 11ft 6in (3.5M)
Beam: 3ft 3in (1M)
The boat is timber built and has an anti-slip seating/standing area. It is lateen rigged and has a cam cleat jammer for the main sheet which runs from a single block on the boom. The plate fits through a slot on the deck and sits flush with it - it has been raised up in the photo due to lack of water below! The lift-up rudder should be fitted vertically to the aft of the boat.
There is a foot strap on both sides boat to enable hiking out.
